Arriving in to Dublin Airport

Dublin Airport (DUB) is around 10km from the city centre, and is accessible by bus or taxi. It is also possible to rent a car at the airport.

  • A taxi to the city centre will cost ~€25-€40, available from the airport taxi rank. All taxis in Ireland are metred, there is no Uber/ Bolt/ rideshare option.

  • If by bus, we recommend taking the Aircoach or Airlink Express. Both cost ~€10 and go regularly from both Terminal 1 & 2.

  • We do not have a metro (yet). It’s a long story.

Getting to the venue

The Chocolate Factory is in Dublin city centre and easily accessible by taxi or public transport. You can:

  • Take the green line tram (the Luas) to stop “Dominick” and then walk 5 minutes. Tickets can be bought at machines on the platform.

  • Take the bus - there are lots of routes that go by the venue, use CityMapper app to find the best option for you. Tickets can be bought on the bus - but you must have cash and exact change!

FAQs

How do I RSVP, and what’s the deadline?

You can RSVP by completing this form. We ask you to please RSVP by Sunday, 16th February 2025. If you are coming with a partner or your family, you can fill out one form for everyone.

Can I bring a plus 1?

Plus 1s have been included in the invites, so we ask for no further guests. If you’re not sure, just ask!

What’s the dress code?

However you feel your best - but dressy! If in doubt, go for semi-formal.

Is there parking available?

Yes, the two nearest car parks are on Parnell Street and at the Ilac shopping centre. There is (very limited) on-street parking by the venue.

Do I need a visa for Ireland?

Citizens of Russia do need a separate visa for Ireland - unfortunately neither British nor Schengen visas will work. You can apply for a tourist visa, and we can help with any required supporting documentation. There is more information available on the Irish Immigration website, and on the website of the Embassy of Ireland, Russia - but do reach out to us if you have questions. Please note that the visa process can take several months.

Citizens of EEA countries, US and UK can travel to Ireland without a visa for up to 90 days.

Are kids welcome?

Absolutely! There will be some places at the venue for younger guests to hang out and play, but please feel free to bring any additional activities or games to make the day fun for them- there will be lots of space.

What happens at 11.30pm?

TBD…

Will transport be provided?

No, you will need to plan your own travel to and from the venue, but it is easy to get to - just ask if you have any questions! The ceremony, meal and dancing will all take place at the venue, so once you’re there, no further travel needed.

Will we be indoors or outdoors?

The whole event will be indoors, but the venue is a former warehouse space without central heating - and it’s Ireland. We hope that the June weather will help, but advise bringing warm layers, just in case.

How should I get in touch if I have questions?

You can email paddy.and.julia@gmail.com to get us both, or text/ call either of us.

We hope you can celebrate with us!
